The Emory University men's cross country team has been selected to compete in the 2024 NCAA National Championship meet. Emory received an at-large bid to the event after finishing second overall and taking home seven individual All-Region honors at the NCAA South Regional. This marks the tenth consecutive season that the Eagles will compete in the NCAA National Championships.
The Eagles sent seven to the NCAA South Regional, all finishing in the top-35 to earn All-Region acclaim. A pair of graduate students,
Scott Masterson and
Spencer Watry, led the way for Emory with seventh and eighth place finishes, respectively. Senior
Marcus Cheema recorded a top-10 finish as well.
Emory has posted four straight seasons of top-25 finishes at the NCAA Championships, coming in at 22
nd at last year's meet. The Eagles bring back most of their lineup from last year's meet, including their top-three finishers with Cheema, Masterson, and
Tristan Olpin.
With the ticket in hand, Emory will now travel to Terra Haute, Indiana to compete in the national meet. The meet is being held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course and hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, beginning at 12 P.M. on Saturday, November 23
