Emory University rising junior Aidan Conley was recognized Thursday night as he was selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-America Fourth Team.
Conley is the 13th player in Emory Baseball history to be chosen as an All-American by the ABCA and the second player since 2014 to earn the distinction from the organization, joining Tyler McLoughlin who was a Third Team choice in 2023. Conley was previously tabbed to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team, d3baseball.com All-Region Second Team and was an All-UAA First Team selection this season.
The Nashville, Tennessee product had a breakthrough sophomore campaign where he posted team-leading marks in hits (67), runs scored (53), triples (4), home runs (8), total bases (113) as well as batting average (.383) and slugging percentage (.481). Conley added 45 RBI, stole 10 bases and finished second on the team in OPS (1.127) and hit-by-pitches (13). He was also the toughest player to strike out amongst UAA players, being retired on strikes just 10 times in 44 games compared to 21 walks.
Conley had at least one hit in 39 of the Eagles' 44 contests, including 19 multi-hit games, and ended the season riding a 12-game hitting streak. He recorded eight games with three or more base hits and had a four-hit performance against Chicago on April 19. Conley also registered 12 games with two or more RBI and had six outings with three or more RBI including a career-high six runs batted in against NYU on March 29.
