Track & Field Announces Hiring of Emmanual Phoulom-Smith

The Emory University track and field team announced the addition of Emmanual Phoulom-Smith to the coaching staff on Thursday morning.
 
Most recently, Phoulom-Smith has been spending time as the assistant coach at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida and lead coach at the Jacksonville Athletic Club. Under his leadership at the Bolles School, Phoulom-Smith helped lead the women's team to a 2024-25 FHSAA 2A Runner-Up finish and led the men's and women's teams to 2024 FHSAA 2A Region 1 Championship titles.
 
He competed on the South Dakota State University track and field team for five seasons and earned Summit League All-Conference honors on eight occasions while being named an NCAA DI All-American Honorable Mention in 2019. He also served as a Volunteer Student Coach during the 2022-23 season.
 
A native of St. Augustine, Florida, Phoulom-Smith earned a bachelor's degree in Sport & Recreation Management at South Dakota State University.
