The Emory University women's tennis program saw another successful day at the ITA South Regional in Mount Berry, Georgia on Sunday sending four Eagles to the singles draw quarterfinals.
The Eagles competed in two rounds of competition on day two and will see an all-Emory semifinals matchup on Monday before the finals match later in the day.
Junior
Emily Kantrovitz started things off on Sunday defeating Ivy Wilson from Sewanee, 6-2, 6-1, in the Round of 16 before downing Ansley Carpenter of Sewanee in the quarterfinals (6-4, 6-2). Kantrovitz will face fellow junior and teammate
Iris Berman in the semifinals after Berman took wins against Sewanee (6-2, 6-0) and teammate
Yanire Marte (6-1, 6-4) on Sunday.
Also competing for a spot in the finals is junior
Izzy Antanavicius after defeating Piedmont, 6-1, 6-2, and Sewanee, 7-2, 7-6 (7-5), on Sunday. In her first ITA Tournament with the Eagles, graduate student
Dakota Fordham earned her spot in the semifinals taking a win against teammate
Riyah Dugar in the Round of 16 with a 6-4, 6-2 decision and a 6-3, 6-2 victory against Sewanee in the quarterfinals.
The Eagles will return to the court on Monday for the semifinals and finals and will also compete in doubles competition.
