The Emory University women's tennis team was highlighted among the nation's best for academic excellence once again on Wednesday as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its Scholar Athletes and All-Academic Teams for the 2025-26 season.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements: have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form. For teams to earn the ITA All-Academic designation, programs must meet the following requirements: have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale); all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form; and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year. In total, the ITA recognized 1,309 women student-athletes for the 2025-26 season as well as 177 teams from the Division III level.
In addition, nine Eagles earned Scholar-Athlete recognition with Audrey Pogue, Yanire Marte, Jessy Chen, Daniela Livson, Rachel Hernandez, Holyn Karp, Izzy Antanavicius, Iris Berman and Emily Kantrovitz garnering academic acclaim. The honors highlight another impressive campaign in the classroom as earlier this spring, four Eagles notched Academic All-Academic with Marte, Berman, Antanavicius and Kantrovitz being recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization. Additionally, the senior trio landed spots on the CSC Academic All-America First Team with Kantrovitz being lauded as the Division III Women's Tennis Academic All-America Team Member of the Year. Furthermore, the Eagles as a team were honored with All-Academic Team recognition.
