The Emory University men's golf team concluded the 2026 NCAA Championships in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida on Friday as the team finished in ninth place at the end of the fourth and final round at Mission Inn Resort.
The Eagles turned in a four-day score of 1,162 (+14) and were led by junior Kevin Mu who was named to the GCAA/PING All-America First Team at the end of the tournament. Mu finished the tournament with an even-round 72 as he carded a two-under for the entire week to tie for 16th on the individual leaderboard. This marks Mu's second consecutive All-America First Team selection.
Graduate student Pearse Lucas has Emory's best performance on the links Friday morning as he shot one-under 71 with a team-leading five birdies. Lucas moved up 12 spots on the leaderboard as he tied for 43rd for the week.
The trio of senior Brian Hanson, freshman Dru Devata and junior Brady Lagendyk all carded a two-over 74 to round out the Emory scorecards. Hanson tied Lucas for the team lead with five birdies and added seven pars to match Lucas in a tie for 43rd. For Devata, his first NCAA appearance saw him record a pair of birdies and 12 pars as locked down the 70th position. For Lagendyk, his final round consisted of three birdies and 10 pars as he tied for 76th.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Illinois Wesleyan tied for the team lead with a -13 during the tournament with CMS capturing the title with a one-hole playoff win over the Titans.
This represents the Eagles' 15th overall top-10 finish nationally in program history and the seventh under Head Coach John Sjoberg.
