Three members of the Emory University men's golf team were recognized with University Athletic Association honors as the conference announced its All-UAA teams Tuesday afternoon.
Junior Kevin Mu and graduate student Pearse Lucas highlighted the Emory selections with First Team acclaim while senior Brian Hanson landed a spot on the Second Team. Furthermore, Mu was honored with the top UAA honor as he was tabbed as the league's Player of the Year.
Mu becomes the seventh Eagle since 2016 to land Player of the Year honors with this year marking his second consecutive appearance on the All-UAA First Team. As a junior, Mu earned PING All-America First Team honors for a second time and was one of five players named a finalist for the Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year award. He finished ranked No. 2 nationally in Clippd's individual rankings while shooting an average of 69.6 across 34 rounds. Mu was an individual medalist at three different tournaments and added an runner-up placement for four top-three showings. He ended his season with a 16th place effort at the NCAA Championships.
For Lucas, he makes his first All-UAA nod in his debut season with the Eagles. Lucas started his Emory career with UAA Tournament MVP honors with three wins during match play and added six top-20 finishes including three inside the top-10. Lucas ranked No. 26 nationally while shooting 71.0 per round over 34 rounds and was previously tabbed to the PING All-Region Team. His final appearance saw him take 56th in the field of 225 at the NCAA Championships.
Hanson caps off his Emory career with his third All-UAA selection as well as his second appearance on the Association's Second Team. He averaged 72.1 over his 34 rounds and put forth his best showing at the Wabash College Fall Invitational where he placed second in the field of 96. Hanson tied Lucas for 56th on the individual leaderboard at the NCAA Championships.
The Eagles claimed their third straight UAA championship during the 2025-26 season and had three total team wins. At the NCAA Championships, the Eagles took 9th out of the 43 teams in competition.
