The Emory University men's golf team took to the Las Colinas course at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida Wednesday afternoon as play continued at the 2026 NCAA Championships. The Eagles fired 288 as a team once again, finishing at four-over on the day, and will be one of 18 teams making the cut at this year's championships.
Through two rounds of play, the Eagles stand in sole possession of sixth place on the team leaderboard with a four-over 576 after two days. Illinois Wesleyan leads the field with a five-under 567 after recording a nine-under second round. The Titans are one of four schools under par through two rounds with Washington & Lee (-2), Carnegie Mellon (-1) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (-1) rounding out the top of the leaderboard.
After ending day one at the bottom of the Emory team scorecard, junior Brady Lagendyk rebounded with a team-leading, one-under 70 on Wednesday. His round featured three birdies, 13 pars and coupled with a pair of bogeys. He moved up 82 spots on the individual leaderboard and into a tie for 74th.
Junior Kevin Mu currently leads the Eagles at Mission Inn Resort as the Jack Nicklaus Award finalist is tied for 26th through two rounds. Mu's second round saw him shoot one-over thanks to two birdies, three bogeys and 13 pars.
At the conclusion of Wednesday's play, freshman Dru Devata and senior Brian Hanson stand tied for 32nd overall with Devata carding an even 71 while Tuesday's leader Hanson went four-over at 75.
Graduate student Pearse Lucas finished his Wednesday with a six-over 77 and will be tied with Lagendyk in 74th position as Thursday play gets underway back on the El Campeon course.
Tee times for round three will be made available on Clippd scoring later Wednesday night.
