The No. 8 ranked Emory University men's tennis team dropped its second consecutive match in Orlando as the Eagles to Division II's Keiser University, 6-1, Wednesday afternoon.
The Seahawks led off the match with wins on the top two doubles courts by 6-2 margins to seize the opening point. When play was halted, senior John Lasanajak and freshman Daniel Kim trailed 4-2 on court three.
In singles action, Keiser maintained its momentum by claiming five of the six courts via straight sets. The lone Emory win came on court five where sophomore Ajay Kartik battled his way to a 4-6, 7-6, 10-6 comeback win to spoil the shutout.
The Eagles look to close out their spring back trip on a strong note on Thursday when Emory takes on another DII foe in Barry University at 2:00 PM in Orlando.
