Emory University men's tennis sophomores Ruilin Feng and Ajay Kartik continued their run in the NCAA doubles tournament Sunday afternoon as they punched their ticket to the national semifinals.
The Eagles downed Trinity (TX)'s tandem of Kishan Kersten and Jared Perry in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, on the indoor courts of The McCallie School to advance to the national semifinals.
Emory, the No. 2 overall seed, is one of four remaining teams in search of the doubles titles and will oppose No. 4 seeded Denison, Ethan Green and Kael Shah, in Monday's semifinals. On the opposite side of the draw, unseeded pairs in Mary Washington and Gustavus Adolphus will square off after knocking out the No. 1 and No. 3 seeds from CMS and Case Western Reserve on Sunday.
Monday's semifinal matches are scheduled to get underway at 10:00 AM at the Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee, weather permitting.
