The Emory University men's tennis team will be sending a doubles team onto the Division III championship match as the ITA Cup continued Saturday afternoon in Rome, Georgia.

After falling in the regional title match earlier this month, the duo of Mitchell Deames and Juno Pethe got some payback over teammates Ajay Kartik and Sammy Nieder as the Deames/Pethe tandem avenged their defeat with a straight set 6-4, 6-4 victory to clinch a spot in the finals on Sunday.

Deames/Pethe will take on UChicago's Chase Kelley/Jesse Yang for the Division III crown starting at 11am Sunday morning at the Rome Tennis Center.

Earlier in the day, Emory's run in singles came to an end as Kartik fell in the national semifinals to Tufts' Garv Bahl 6-3, 4-6, 1-6 and in the consolation round, Deames defeated Gustavus Adolphus' Dominik Knutson 6-3, 6-1 to end his week with a 2-1 singles mark.
