Graduate transfer Mitchell Deames and freshman Juno Pethe competed in the ITA Cup Division III doubles championship Sunday afternoon, falling to UChicago's Chase Kelley and Jesse Yang 7-6 (4), 7-5 in the final matchup of the tournament. 

Emory put up a fight in the first set, going 6-6 before dropping the first set in a 7-4 tiebreak. The final set also came down to the wire as the Eagles fell to UAA foe and reigning team national champions UChicago 7-5. 

The Eagles will be back on the court for the indoor season in the coming months.
