Three members of the Emory University men's tennis team were selected as Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Americans this week as the organization released its singles and doubles honorees via press release.
Sophomore Ruilin Feng was chosen as All-American for both singles and doubles whereas classmate Ajay Kartik and freshman Matthew Johnstone were selected as recipients for doubles.
To be recognized as an ITA All-American in 2025-26 a player must meet one of the following criteria: top 8 seed in the NCAA singles tournament, win one round at the NCAA singles tournament, finish in the Top 20 in the final ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, win ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the ITA National Small College Championships (ITA Cup). For doubles, All-American honors are awarded to teams that are a top 4 seed in NCAA doubles tournament, win one round at the NCAA doubles tournament, finish in the Top 10 in the final ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, win the ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the ITA National Small College Championships.
Feng makes his second straight appearance on both the singles and doubles All-American list following his sophomore campaign. Feng qualified for the NCAA singles tournament following his ITA Division III national championship run in the fall. He ended his year with a 19-6 record and ranked No. 4 nationally.
For Kartik, he makes his first career appearance on the All-America list with his play alongside both Feng and Johnstone. In the fall, Kartik and Johnstone captured the ITA Division III national championship in doubles with a 9-0 tournament run. In the spring, Kartik paired with Feng to produce a 12-4 record at the No. 1 position while reaching the NCAA national semifinals. The duo of Feng and Kartik concluded the season ranked No. 2 in Division III.
