Ruilin Feng Tabbed to CSC Academic All-America Second Team

Emory University men's tennis sophomore Ruilin Feng was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team as announced by the organization via press release Wednesday afternoon.

Feng becomes the 17th Emory Eagle within the men's tennis program to earn Academic All-America recognition as Emory is tied with Gustavus Adolphus for third-most all-time among all NCAA schools for men's tennis. With Feng's honor, the Eagles have registered seven Academic All-America honors during the 2025-26 calendar and now have 253 in the department history.

As a sophomore, Feng headlined the Emory lineup as the Eagles made a run to the national quarterfinals. As the No. 1 player in the lineup, Feng bolstered an overall record of 19-6 in singles and 17-7 in doubles. As an All-UAA First Team selection for both singles and doubles, Feng began his second season with a dominating run through the ITA circuit as he captured the ITA South Regional title as well as the ITA Cup Division III national championship in singles. His spring season saw him turn in a 9-5 mark during dual matches and qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships. In doubles, he and classmate Ajay Kartik went 14-5 as a tandem including a run to the national semifinals at the NCAA Championships.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. They also must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). First-year athletes are ineligible for the award. Feng was one of three Eagles nominated alongside Kartik and Dean Kamenev. All players nominated earn the distinction of CSC Academic All-District and then proceed to be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America voting.
