The Emory University divers capped off an impressive weekend at home as the NCAA Region 2 Championships came to a close at the Woodruff PE Center Saturday afternoon.
Graduate student Ariana Khan continued to excel on the boards as she finished the regional sweep, taking home another win with her winning mark of 476.60 on the 3-meter.
Both senior Ren Watt and sophomore Maya Kriz joined her as regional qualifiers as the duo turned in top four finishes on Saturday with Watt placing third at 427.45 and Kriz taking fourth at 420.05.
Sophomore Maddi Grant rounded out the Emory women with her 16th overall finish with a mark of 358.20.
In the men's event, sophomore Solly Berkenwald captured his first regional crown after placing second on the 3-meter Friday afternoon. Berkenwald narrowly defeated Colorado College's Justin Toth by less than one point with a winning margin of 475.80-474.85 in the 1-meter event.
Freshman Thomas Stone nearly missed qualifying as he finished seventh on Saturday with a score of 432.30.
The Eagles now turn their attention to the NCAA Championships later this month which will be held in Indianapolis from the 18th through the 21st.
