The Emory University men's swimming & diving team made up some ground in the team competition Friday night as the Eagles moved into fourth place at the 2026 NCAA Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Day three in the pool proved to be another strong showing by the Eagles as Emory turned in a pair of national runner-up performances as part of the team's four podium efforts and added five more Second Team All-America finishes.
Junior McKee Thorsen and senior Henri Bonnault had the spotlight for the Eagles on Friday with both swimmers recording silver medal performances. Thorsen went for 1:45.52 in the 200 Fly and in the 100 Breaststroke, Bonnault registered a mark of 52.71.
In addition to the individuals, both Emory relays reached the podium with the team of Bonnault, Colin Zexter, Patrick Horton and Connor McHugh turning in a time of 1:27.17 to take fourth in the 200 Medley Relay, and in the 800 Freestyle, Hayden Tupper, Sven Becker, Graham Zucker and Crow Thorsen took sixth at 6:33.84.
Earning Second Team All-America nods on Friday were freshman Carson Kalish (10th, 1:47.29) and C. Thorsen (16th, 1:49.05) in the 200 Fly, Zexter (15th, 49.14) in the 100 Backstroke and sophomore Solly Berkenwald in the 1-meter dive (11th, 466.55).
Through three days of competition, Emory ranks fourth with 240 points and will head into the final day looking to gain ground on leader Denison (313.5), New York University (283) and UChicago (265). The fourth and final day will get started from the IU Natatorium at 10:00 AM.
