Coming off of another historical indoor season, the Emory University women's track and field program carried that momentum straight into the outdoor season.
The Eagles saw two national champions in graduate students
Nikki Boon and
Eva Carchidi and 11 other second team All-America finishes. At the UAA Championships, five Eagles combined for five UAA individual titles while 18 student-athletes combined for 35 USTFCCCA All-Region outdoor honors. The duo of Boon and Carchidi also swept the USTFCCCA regional end-of-season honors.
Carchidi entered Emory and made history becoming the first women in program history to win a national title in the 400m dash at the NCAA Championships and is the second Eagle to do so. While earning the title, she ran a program record mark of 53.94 to win in dramatic fashion. Carchidi had the four fastest times on the team this season in the 400m dash and the 200m dash while becoming a UAA Champion in the 200m and 400m dash.
Boon continued to break records during her final season with the Eagles taking home another national title, her latest coming in the heptathlon at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships. With her second national title, she becomes the third individual in Emory history to win multiple titles in their career while also being the first person in Emory history to win the heptathlon. She won the event with a mark of 5435 after breaking the Division III record with 5638 points earlier this season at the Emory Thrills in the Hills meet.
At the UAA Championships, the Eagles finished in second place with 189 points, the best team finish since 2016. 12 student-athletes secured All-UAA honors with their top-three finishes at the Championships. Due to her efforts this season, freshman
Jada Kenner brought home UAA Rookie of the Year recognition for the outdoor season.
The Eagles saw a number of athletic awards this season and along with Boon and Carchidi's regional honors, head coach
Linh Nguyen and associate head coach Derek Nelson earn Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year recognition respectively.
