Emory University men's golf senior
Michael Burry was chosen to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America team as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
Burry's selection marks the third Academic All-America selection in program history and the first since Ryan Dagerman in 2012. He also becomes the 14th All-American chosen for the Eagles this year and brings Emory's all-time total to 241.
The CSC Academic All-America team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated, student-athletes must be a key member of their respective teams, maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average and be of sophomore standing or higher.
Burry finished his final season with the Eagles with All-America Honorable Mention honors following a tie for 49
th at the NCAA Championships with a four round score of 302. His selection for PING All-American honors was the second of his career and the first since the 2023 season. He shot an average round score of 73.2 this season with his best finish coming at the NCAA Division III Preview shooting nine under.
