The Emory University men's track and field program had another season of success taking home a top-25 finish at the NCAA Championships and a second place finish at the UAA Championships.
For the third consecutive season, the Eagles saw at least one student-athlete capture All-America honors, six total honors, while 16 athletes combined for 25 USTFCCCA All-Region honors, the most Emory has received in an indoor season since the organization began releasing All-Region honors. The Eagles also saw four individual titles and 20 All-UAA finishes at the UAA Championships in Chicago, Illinois.
Continuing his historic career in the Blue & Gold, junior
Henry Brandstadter added more trophies to his shelf at the NCAA Indoor Championships. He finished as the national runner-up in the long jump for the second consecutive season, still the best finish in team history in the event. At the UAA Championships, he brought home four All-UAA finishes including two UAA titles in the 60m dash and long jump.
Also qualifying for nationals this season was the distance medley relay group of
Marcus Cheema,
Ryan McGonigle,
Spencer Watry and
Scott Masterson who each earned All-America honors for their eighth place finish in the event at the NCAA Championships. Also competing at the NCAA Championships and earning Second Team All-America status was graduate student
Dawit Dean who finished 12
th in the 800m run.
At the UAA Championships, Brandstadter took home top finishes in the 60m dash and long jump while Dean won the UAA title in the 800m run. Finishing the UAA Indoor titles was senior
Jackson Price who took first in the 200m dash.
