The No. 3 women's tennis team (13-4) wrapped up its regular season on Saturday, taking on the Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies at home. Just playing to clinch, the Eagles dropped their final regular season match, 4-1.
The Eagles dropped the doubles point, with the Grizzlies seizing matches on the top two courts. Junior

Dakota Fordham played in the top spot, 2-6. Playing on court two, sophomore
Yanire Marte and senior
Eliza McPherron dropped in the No. 2 spot, 3-6, to seize the doubles point.
Freshmen
Daniela Livson and
Rachel Hernandez played on court three, but their match was suspended after the doubles point was wrapped up. The match was tied at five points apiece.
Marte scored the lone singles on court three. The sophomore took down her opponent by a score of 6-4 and 6-1. The win marks her third straight win, raising her dual match record to 13-4 this year.
Junior
Izzy Antanavicius played in the No. 2 position but was dropped in straight sets, 4-6 and 1-6. Fordham was on the wrong side of a 3-6, 3-6 final score on court five. Sophomore
Riyah Dugar competed on court six, but was downed, 1-6 and 0-6, for the Grizzlies to earn their match-clinching fourth win.
Playing in the top singles position, Kantrovitz's match was suspended just after she had won the second set to force a third. McPherron played in the No. 4 spot having dropped the first set, 1-6, and was trailing, 1-5, in the second at the time of suspension.
The Eagles will look to regroup as they get set to head to Florida this week for the UAA Championships. The event will span three days, starting Thursday, April 24
th. The Eagles' first round matchup will be announced later this week.
