Amy Bryant Elected to Sessions Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame

Amy Bryant, one of the all-time winningest coaches in Emory University and collegiate tennis history, was elected to the Sessions Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame as announced by the Georgia Tennis Foundation (GTF) on the morning of Tuesday, April 15th.

Bryant, who served as the head coach of the Eagles' women's tennis program from 2000 until she announced her retirement in 2022, was the driving force in creating one of the premier tennis powerhouses, not only in Division III but across all levels of collegiate tennis with her teams reaching unprecedented success.

In her 23 seasons at the helm, Bryant's teams compiled an overall record of 428-116, reaching the NCAA postseason in every season. During her run, Emory won seven team national championships, oversaw six NCAA Division III singles champions and five NCAA Division III doubles champions, claimed 18 University Athletic Association (UAA) championships. Her players also amassed 103 All-American honors to go along with seven players earning Academic All-Americans status and five Eagles earning the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. Furthermore, Bryant was first woman in NCAA history to win the national team championship as both a coach and player.

Bryant, along with Jon Niemeyer and Robert Sasseville, will be honored at the 2025 Sessions Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by First Horizon Bank on Saturday evening August 9th at Marietta Country Club.  Tickets will go on sale for the festivities on June 1st.
