The No. 4 ranked Emory men's golf team wrapped up its first event of the spring on Tuesday, playing the third and final round at the Savannah Invitational. After shooting a 296 (+8) over the final 18 holes, the Eagles remained steady on the leaderboard, finishing fourth out of 19 teams with a three-round score of 870 (+6). The event was played at The Club at Savannah Harbor's Par-72 course in Savannah, Georgia.

The #1 Washington and Lee Generals took first at the event, shooting an 855 (-9) to seize gold. Rounding out the top three was #2 Methodist in second with an 865 (-8) and #5 Sewanee in third with an 865 (+1). The Generals' Jonathan McEwen won the individual title by three strokes, turning in a score of 208 (-8).

As a team, the Eagles continued to perform well on Par 4s, having the second-best score of any team on those holes over the three rounds. Senior
Michael Burry was among the top golfers on Par 4s at the event, shooting even par on such holes across all three rounds. As a result, Burry was Emory's top finisher in the spring opener, finishing with a 216 (E) and tied for 12
th place overall. His final round consisted of two bogeys and two birdies with a pair of double bogeys mixed in to shoot a 76 (+4) to finish his tournament.

Senior
Tony Li shot the best round of the day for Emory, carding a 72 (E) in his final 18. Li continued to stay consistent, turning in 12 pars to go along with three birdies and two bogeys. Few had more pars at the event than Li did, finishing with 38 over 54 holes. His three round total came to 217 (+1) and tied for a 17
th place finish.

Brian Hanson got out to a hot start on Tuesday, knocking in two birdies in the first two holes. Yet, the junior struggled for the remainder of his round, with five bogeys and a double bogey to see his third-round score inflate to a 77 (+5). Hanson finished with a 220 (+4) and tied for 30
th place.

Kevin Mu turned in an impressive 11 pars in his final round, but three double bogeys on his score card saw his score balloon to a 76 (+4) in the final round. His three-round total came to 222 (+6), finishing tied for 43
rd overall.

Brady Lagendyk bounced back in a big way on Tuesday afternoon, turning in a 72 (E), his best round of the tournament. The sophomore recorded four birdies to go along with four bogeys on Tuesday. Lagendyk ended his tournament with a three-round score of 223 (+7) and tied for 48
th place.

Next up, the Eagles will take a trip to Pinehurst, North Carolina to compete in Hampden-Sydney's Tiger Invitational. The event will be a two-day event consisting of 36 holes at Forest Creek Golf Club. The Eagles will tee off on Sunday, March 9
th with tee times to be announced later this week.
