The #2 Emory men's golf team concluded play at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, finishing in 16
th with a team total of 873 (+9) on the weekend.
Kevin Mu led the Eagles at the end of three rounds, shooting a 214 (-2) total after putting up a 71 (-1) in his third round. The junior had a steady round, making par on every hole apart from three birdies and a pair of bogeys to end in 34
th place.
Grad transfer
Pearse Lucas finished one shot behind Mu, landing in 45
th overall. He shot three birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey to record a 73 (+1) in his final round.
Behind him was senior
Brian Hanson as he shot a 220 (+4) total on the weekend. He shot a 73 (+1) on day three to match his second-round score, recording two birdies and three bogeys on the round.
Brady Lagendyk came in next, landing four shots behind Hanson to come in 95
th place. The junior had a consistent round, shooting four bogeys and a birdie across the final 18.
Finishing it off for the Eagles was
Zach Pelzar as he shot a 246 (+30) on the tournament. He shot an 81 (+9) in the final round to take 149
th.
The Eagles will be back on the course in two weeks as they start play at the Capital City Classic on April 6.
