The Emory men's golf team won their second tournament of the season Tuesday afternoon, claiming the Tartan Invitational crown with a team total 875 (+11) to improve from a fifth place finish at last year's event.

Host team and UAA foe Carnegie Mellon took second at 879 (+15) and Kenyon finished in a tie for third with Carnegie Mellon's B team with an 887 (+23).

Senior Kevin Mu led the Eagles to victory, finishing in sixth place with a 218 (+2) through three rounds. Mu delivered a 75 (+3) in his final round as he carded a pair of birdies and five bogeys on the round.

One stroke behind Mu was junior Zach Pelzar and freshman Jeffrey Rubenstein who finished in a tie for seventh place. Freshman Enze Miao shot two strokes more than his teammates, delivering a 221 (+5) through 54 holes after shooting 74 (+2) in the last round. Miao had a turbulent final day on the course, carding five birdies, the same margin of bogeys and a double bogey on eight to land in a tie for 12th place.

Rounding it out for the Eagles at Laurel Valley was Dru Devata who carded a 79 (+7) in his final round to bring his three-round total to 230 (+14). The sophomore shot a pair of birdies, seven bogeys and a double bogey on four to wrap up play in Pennsylvania.

The Eagles will be back on the course later this month as they split between the O'Briant Jensen Memorial in Greensboro, NC and the Chick-fil-A Invitational.
