The Emory men's golf team wrapped up play at the Wabash Invitational Tuesday afternoon, finishing in fourth place with a team total 852 (-12).
Kenyon claimed the team title with a final score of 846 (-18) while Carnegie Mellon finished two strokes behind to claim second and Illinois Wesleyan shot a team total 851 (-13) to take third place.
Senior
Kevin Mu won the individual title with a three-round total of 198 (-18), marking the new second-lowest round in program history, coming within one stroke of Jackson Klutznick's record-setting 197 from the 2023 Gate City Invite. The fourth year saw a bogey-less front nine as he carded five birdies and a lone bogey on 11 to tie his second round score at 68 (-4).
Freshman
Jeffrey Rubenstein finished behind Mu, carding a trio of bogeys and a pair of birdies on the day to shoot a 73 (+1). This brought Rubenstein's total to 212 (-4) as he ended in a tie for sixth place on the individual leaderboard.
Following Rubenstein was the duo of
Dru Devata and
Zach Pelzar who each shot a 222 (+6) to tie for 27th place. Devata carded three birdies and four bogeys in his final round to card his lowest round of the tournament at 73 (+1) while Pelzar carded a 75 (+3) with three birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey on the day.
Finishing out the leaderboard for the Eagles was
Brady Lagendyk who delivered his best round of the tournament with a 71 (-1) to bring his 54-hole total to 225 (+9). The senior carded five birdies and four bogeys to finish off play in Indiana.
The Eagles will return to the course next week as they head to Laurel Valley Golf Course for the Tartan Invitational.
