The Emory men's golf team is atop the leaderboard at the conclusion of day one of the Wabash Invitational, recording a team total 563 (-13) to sit ahead of the competition by five strokes.
Illinois Wesleyan is in second place at 568 (-8) to conclude day one while UAA foe Carnegie Mellon sits one stroke behind the Titans in third.
Kevin Mu is leading the 90-player field after two rounds, delivering the second-lowest individual round in program history in round one with a 62 (-10). He surpasses his own score of 64 at the 2025 Discover Dekalb Invite and is one stroke behind Jackson Klutznick's record, set at the 2023 Gate City Invite. The senior delivered a pair of bogey-free rounds, carding ten birdies through 18 holes to earn that 62 (-10) before delivering a 68 in round two to finish at 130 (-14).
Behind him is newcomer Jeffrey Rubenstein who TOTAL. The first round saw three birdies and a double bogey from the freshman as he carded a 71 (-1). The second round saw a three-shot improvement from the freshman as he carded a 68 to finish at 139 (-5).
Following Rubenstein is Zach Pelzar who finished in a tie for 19th at 147 (+3). Starting with a birdie on hole one, the junior recorded four total birdies, a trio of bogeys and a double bogey for a 73 (+1). In the second round, Pelzar shot five birdies, three bogeys and a pair of double bogeys to card a 74 (+2).
One stroke behind Pelzar is freshman Enze Miao who shot a 75 (+3) in his first round with two birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey. The newcomer improved by two strokes in the second round, carding a 73 (+1) with four birdies and five bogeys on the round.
In a tie for 33rd at the end of day one is sophomore Dru Devata who delivered a 74 (+2) in the first round via four birdies, two bogeys and the same number of double bogeys. Round two saw a pair of bogeys, a lone birdie on 14 and a single double bogey on two to card a 75 (+3), bringing his two-round total to 149.
Rounding out the leaderboard for Emory is Brady Lagendyk who shot a 77 (+5) in both rounds on the day. The senior delivered four bogeys, a double bogey and a lone birdie in each of his rounds to end at 154 (+10).
The Eagles will be back on the course at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow to conclude play in Indianapolis.
