Emory University men's soccer Head Coach Cory Greiner has been named the Region VI Coach of the Year as announced by the United Soccer Coaches Association.

Greiner and his staff featuring Associate Head Coach Clayton Schmitt and assistants Felipe Quintero, Jose Casique and Tyler Sherman led the Eagles to a historic season in 2025 with the team advancing to the national semifinals for the first time in program history. The Eagles matched a team record with 16 victories, finishing with an overall record of 16-2-4. Greiner managed one United Soccer Coaches All-American – the first since 2017, five All-Region selections and five All-University Athletic Association honorees including a third straight Eagle to win the coveted Offensive MVP award.

This is the first time Greiner has been tabbed as the Region Coach of the Year and has previously been honored as the UAA Coaching Staff of the Award twice in 2023 and 2024.

The United Soccer Coaches National Coaching Staff of the Year will be announced on December 19.
