The Emory University volleyball program was just selected into the NCAA Tournament and will travel to Boston, Massachusetts for the eight-team regional. The Eagles have made the tournament for 29 consecutive seasons, the second longest active streak in Division III just behind Juniata.
The Eagles (19-7) will face the Springfield College Pride (23-7) who earned an at-large bid after falling to Babson in the NEWMAC tournament this weekend. The meeting will be just the second time in history that the two teams will face off, the first since the 2010 season where the Eagles came out victorious.
Every other team in the Boston regional earned their spot by way of automatic qualifier. Tufts will host the opening rounds after winning the NESCAC and No. 1 ranked East Texas Baptist will join the pod after clinching the American Southwest Conference title. Also joining the pod is Maine Maritime, Kean, Lasell and Bridgewater State.
