Emory Men's Golf concluded their fall season after finishing their third round at the Chick fil A Invitational Tuesday afternoon, landing in 13
th place after three rounds with a total team score of 923 for the tournament.
Sophomore
Tim Richter led the Eagles with a total of 226 for the tournament, putting him in 31
st place at the end of round three. Richter had a rough go on front nine, carding four bogeys in a row in addition to two double bogeys. This changed on the back nine as the sophomore found his rhythm and carded a birdie, bogey and double bogey to shoot 82 on the round.
Behind him was fellow sophomore
Rafe Cochran, who shot 80 on the day landing in 55
th on the leaderboard. Cochran went four over on the front nine, carding two bogeys, a birdie and a double bogey. On the back nine, Cochran's shots came in groups as he carded two double bogeys in a row, three birdies in a row, two bogeys back to back and ended the round by making par on the final two holes to shoot 232 on the tournament.
Tying with Cochran was junior
Dustin Miller, who also shot 232 on the tournament. Miller had a consistent day three, carding two double bogeys, two bogeys and a birdie across the whole round to shoot a 79 and end the tournament tied with Cochran in 55
th place.
Ending one shot behind Miller and Cochran was freshman
Dru Devata, who shot 233 across his three rounds. The freshman had a rocky front nine, carding three bogeys, a double bogey and a birdie. Devata found his footing on the back nine, making par on each hole apart from a birdie on 17 to land in 59
th at the end of round three.
Rounding out the scorecard for the Eagles was senior
Parker Shimp, who shot 83 on the day to end in 89
th on the leaderboard. Shimp had a front nine riddled with bogeys, carding four bogeys and two double bogeys to begin the round, but found his rhythm on the back nine carding two birdies, a bogey and a double bogey to shoot 246 on the tournament.
Competing as an individual for the Eagles was freshman
Jack Nicoletta, who landed in 78
th overall at the end of the third round. Nicoletta carded three bogeys, a double bogey and a birdie to go six over on the front nine, but improved on the back nine carding two birdies, a bogey and a double bogey to shoot 79 on the round and 239 for the tournament.
The Eagles will be back on the golf course March 2, 2026 as they begin their spring season at the Savannah Invitational.
