Men's Tennis had an incredible day at the ITA Cup on Friday, going 4-0 across singles and doubles on the day.
In Singles, sophomore
Ruilin Feng swept Bowdoin College's Mark Kneiss in straight sets to move on to tomorrow's semifinal round. He will take on Denison University's Kael Shalin Shah tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. In the singles consolation draw, senior
Dean Kamenev defeated Ithaca College's Ivan Kisic in straight sets. The senior will face Amherst College's Andreas Sillaste tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.
In doubles, the sophomore/freshman duo of
Ajay Kartik and
Matthew Johnstone took on UChicago's
Christian Liew and Shrikeshav Murugesan. The Eagles dropped the first set 6-1, but battled back to take set two 6-3 and ultimately win the tiebreak set 10-4 to advance to tomorrows semifinal where they will face Babson College's Sebastian Mendoza and Edward Wang. In the doubles consolation draw, the senior/freshman duo of
John Lasanjak and
Daniel Kim took on Williams College's Simon Volkema and Nicholas Chen, beating them in straight sets.
ITA Cup semifinal matches will take place tomorrow with singles starting at 9 a.m. and doubles at 3:30 p.m.
