The No. 3 ranked Emory men's golf team capped off a historic performance at the Flower City Preview on Monday afternoon, shooting a 288 (E) in the final round to win the event with a 12-stroke cushion over second-place #5 Illinois Wesleyan. Monday's performance brought the Eagles' three-round total to 833 (-31), which makes it the second-best 54-hole score in program history and just two strokes short of the record of 831 set at the Gate City Invitational in September of 2023. Emory saw three Eagles finish inside of the top-10 of the talented field, all three of which finishing well under par.

Junior
Brian Hanson made history of his own, shooting a 70 (-2) on Monday to bring his event total to 202 (-14), which ranks as the second-best individual three-round scores in program history and just the second instance an Eagle has shot under 205. His performance trails only
Jackson Klutznick, who shot a 197 (-16) at last year's Gate City Invitational.

The final round of the event was played at Cobblestone Creek Country Club's Par-72 course in Penfield, New York.

In a field laden with some of the nation's top golfers, Hanson separated himself from the pack with a nearly perfect three rounds of golf. The California native set the tone on Sunday with his rounds of 65 (-7) and 67 (-5) to give him an early lead over the rest of the field. He followed it up with a 70 (-2) on Sunday to finish with a 202 (-14). Hanson went on to finish in second place overall, just three strokes behind No. 1 ranked Methodist University's Aiden Spampinato who shot a 65 (-7) on Monday to surge up the leaderboard and finish with a 199 (-17). Hanson finished 54 holes having made par or better on 48 holes. This was Hanson's best three-round score of his career, while also posting a new individual best single-round with his 65 on Sunday.

Senior
Michael Burry played an instrumental role in the Eagles' win this weekend, shooting a 207 (-9) over the course of three rounds – good for a new personal record and being the fifth-best three-round score in program history. He finished off his tournament with a 72 (E) on Monday. He knocked in four birdies to offset four bogeys and finish his day even and nine under for the event. He finished with a par or better on 46 of his 54 holes, leading to a fourth-place finish individually.
Â
The third Eagle to finish in the top-10 is senior
Tony Li. Like Burry, he shot a 72 (E) on Monday to punctuate his tournament. He tapped in three birdies, negating his three bogeys in his final round. He finished the event with a 210 (-6) to finish seventh overall. Li led Emory in total eagles for the event, knocking in two over the course of his three rounds.
Â
Sophomore
Brady Lagendyk ascended six spots up the leaderboard on Monday, shooting a 74 (+2) in his final round. Lagendyk made par or better on 15 holes, but a double bogey on hole nine kept his score above par for the round. This brings his three-round total to 218 (+2), setting a new career three-round best for the Mississippi native. His score saw him tie for 30
th on the individual leaderboard.
Â
Rounding out the scores for the Eagles is senior
Josh Qian, who shot an 84 (+12) on Monday. Qian had a stellar opening day, shooting a 69 (-3) and 71 (-1) in his opening rounds but found trouble in his final round to bring his three-round total to 224 (+8)
Â
