Emory University track and field senior Kenya Sei competed in the hammer throw at the Aggie Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T on Saturday morning while competing against current and former Division I athletes.
Sei took second place in the event throwing a distance of 55.23m, the 35th best distance in Division III this season. Earlier this year, Sei broke the program record with a mark of 57.60m at the Emory Spring Break Classic.
The Eagles will travel to the Lee Last Chance meet on Saturday, May 11 before turning their attention to the NCAA Outdoor Championships starting Thursday, May 23 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
