The Emory University men's swimming team concluded competition at the Denison Invitational on Saturday, finishing second of four teams with 1,909 points. The Eagles finished behind Denison's 2,159 points while the University of Indianapolis finished third with 1,639.5 points and WashU in fourth with 1,188.5. Emory concluded the meet with 11 NCAA B Cuts on Saturday. The event was held at Denison University's Trumbull Aquatics Center.
Freshman
Ben Pritchard got the Eagles started with an impressive performance in the 1650 Free, finishing second with a time of 15:29.96. Another freshman,
Zachary Spicer, posted an NCAA qualifying time of 1:47.08 and good for a third-place finish in the 200 Back. Sophomore
Hayden Tupper also turned in a strong individual time in the 100 Free, placing third with an NCAA qualifying time of 44.83.
A trio of Eagles came in with B cuts in the 200 Breast this evening. Senior
Liyang Sun led the way with a third-place finish with a time of 1:57.75, while junior
Henri Bonnault came in fifth at 1:59.70, and senior
Johnny Bradshaw in seventh at 2:00.42.

Michael Kaiser turned in strong times in the 200 Fly, with Echols coming in fourth with a time of 1:49.37 and Kaiser in fifth with a time of 1:49.60.
The Eagles wrapped up the day with a fifth-place finish in the 400 Free Relay. Juniors
Caden Bjornstad and
Patrick Horton alongside senior
Nolan Lahmann and Bradshaw turned in a B Cut time of 3:01.19 to wrap up the event.
The Eagles will now take the next several weeks to regroup before starting their slate of meets in the new year. Emory will be back in the pool for a dual meet against Berry on January 18
th. The meet will also serve as the program's Senior Day.
