Their 846 is the seventh-best three-round score in program history. After yesterday's second round was cut short due to darkness, the golfers finished what was left of their second round before playing the final 18 holes.

No. 1 ranked Methodist University took first at the event after posting a 274 (-14) in their third round to finish with an 835 (-29) over three rounds. Rounding out the top three was No. 7 ranked Washington & Lee who turned in an 841 (-23). The event was held at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Senior Michael Burry was Emory's top finisher, recording a 209 (-7) over three rounds to finish tied for 8th overall. The senior was under par in all three rounds, finishing his tournament with a 69 (-3) in the second round and a 71 (-1) in the third. He was impressive in his final round, with four birdies, one bogey and a double bogey. This is the third time that Burry has recorded a three-round score under the 210 mark in his career and has now done so in back-to-back events.

Close behind was junior Brian Hanson, who shot the best round of the day for Emory. Hanson came in with a 69 (-3) in his third round with an eagle, two birdies and just one bogey. This brought his three-round total to 211 (-5) and see him tie for 12th at the event.

Freshman Zach Pelzar was the third Eagle to record a three-round score under par, turning in a 212 (-4) in his first stroke-play event. He concluded his second round with an even 72 before starting his third round this morning. Pelzar recorded four birdies and three bogeys in his final round, seeing him turn in a 71 (-1). His 212 saw him finish tie for 17th.

Sophomore Brady Lagendyk continued his strong start to his second season, finishing his second round with a 71 (-1) and a 73 (+1) in his third to finish the event at 216 (E). The front nine of his final round was rocky, with a double bogey, two bogeys and one birdie. Yet, he reigned it in with two birdies and seven pars on the back nine to keep his score around par. With a 216, the sophomore finished tied for 29th.

Rounding out the scorecard for Emory was senior Tony Li. Li's final two rounds were impressive, shooting a 71 (-1) and 72 (E) to bring his three-round score to 217 (+1). Over his final two rounds, Li recorded one eagle, four birdies, and 27 pars. He finished the event tied for 38th place.
