Emory Men's Tennis Blanks Oglethorpe

The No. 2-ranked Emory men's tennis team upped its winning streak to three matches Thursday afternoon, defeating intra-city foe Oglethorpe University.  The Eagles raised their overall record to 9-4 following a 9-0 blanking of the Stormy Petrels who slipped to 4-6.

After sweeping the doubles portion of the match, including an 8-5 win by the No. 1 duo of Alex Ruderman and Ian Wagner that raised their spring record to 8-3, the Eagles captured all six singles match-ups.  Wagner and sophomore Aman Manji posted 6-0, 6-0, wins at the No. 4 and No. 6 spots, respectively.  At third singles, Junior Rafe Mosetick bested Judd Motz, 7-5, 6-0, to notch his team-leading 17th victory this year (10-2 in spring action).  Other wins came from sophomore Josh Goodman at No. 5, senior Eric Halpern at No. 2 and Ruderman at No. 1.

Emory returns to action next Wednesday (Apr. 1) when it battles No. 31-ranked North Carolina Wesleyan in Rock Hill, SC.
