The Emory men's golf team finished in third place at the NCAA Division III Fall Preview Tuesday afternoon, moving up one spot from day one after recording the lowest team round of the day with a 284 (E). 

Huntingdon and Kenyon both maintained their positions on the leaderboard from day one, finishing first and second with an 834 (-18) and 836 (-16) respectively. Illinois Wesleyan fell two strokes behind the Eagles to take fourth while UAA foe Carnegie Mellon rounded out the top five with a team total 847 (-5). 

Freshman Jeffrey Rubenstein finished at the top of the leaderboard for the Eagles, tying for 12th with a 71 (E) in his final round to bring his three round total to 210 (-3). He improved by one stroke from round one, delivering a bogey-free front nine along with four birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey across the round. 

One stroke behind Rubenstein was Kevin Mu who shot a tournament-low 68 (-3) in his final round to tie for 18th. The senior was consistent as he recorded seven birdies and four bogeys through 18 holes on the final day of competition. 

Following Mu on the individual leaderboard was Enze Miao and Zach Pelzar who tied for 22nd with a three-round total of 212 (-1). Miao shot a 71 (E) in his final round, making par on each of the front nine holes before carding a pair of birdies, a bogey and a double bogey to wrap up competition. Pelzar carded a 74 (+3) as he shot four birdies, three bogeys and two double bogeys to close out play in Williamsburg. 

Rounding out play for the Eagles was sophomore Dru Devata who finished round three in a tie for 40th place. He carded three birdies and a bogey on the front nine and delivered two bogeys and the same margin of double bogeys on the back nine to end the tournament. 

The Eagles will be back on the course at the beginning of October for the Wabash Fall Invitational in Indianapolis, IN.
