After capturing the University Athletic Association championship on Saturday, the Emory University men's basketball team is headed to the NCAA tournament for the 12th time in the past 13 years. Additionally, the Eagles will play as opening round hosts for the second consecutive season after concluding the year by riding a seven-game winning streak and boasting the No. 2 overall ranking in the 64-team field.

Emory will play host to a four-team pod featuring Mississippi University for Women, Rhodes College and Roanoke College with games taking place on March 6th and 7th at the Woodruff PE Center in Atlanta. The Eagles are set to take on the Owls of MUW Friday night at 7:15pm following the conclusion of Rhodes-Roanoke at 4:45pm. Emory boasts an overall record of 22-3 while MUW is on a seven-game winning streak of its own, coming into play at 17-10, and is making its first-ever NCAA appearance.

In the other matchup, Rhodes (23-4) claimed its first conference title since the 2016-17 season and took down Trinity (TX) in the SAA championship game whereas Roanoke upset No. 1 ranked Randolph-Macon in the ODAC title game to win its 11th conference crown and the first since 1999-2000.
