Members of the Emory University men's basketball team were recognized Wednesday afternoon for academic excellence as the National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC) released its Academic Excellence and Honors Court award recipients for the 2025-26 season.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
As a team, the Eagles earned Academic Excellence once again while also seeing seven members of the roster garnering Honors Court status for their performances in the classroom while pursuing Business Administration degrees: seniors Tyson Thomas, John Coppolino IV, Ben Pearce, Jair Knight and juniors AJ Harris, Ethan Fauss and Spencer Hall.
Earlier this year, Fauss was a standout as well for his efforts in the classroom and on the court as he was tabbed to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Third Team.
