For the 28
th consecutive season, the Emory University volleyball program made a trip back to the NCAA Championships during another successful season. The Eagles were led this season by head coach Brianna Jones in her second season in Atlanta.

The Eagles finished the 2024 season with a 29-3 record and a perfect 7-0 record in conference play leading to another UAA Championship title. For the second consecutive season, Emory went 3-0 at the Jenny McDowell Invitational before traveling to St. Louis, Missouri for the annual East to West Battle. The team saw their first loss of the year against then-ranked No. 4 Johns Hopkins followed by seven straight victories before conference play started.

Conference play started strong with Emory taking the first UAA game against then-ranked No. 8 WashU followed by back to back wins against Rochester and Case Western Reserve for a 3-0 conference record. Following the first UAA Round Robin, the Eagles won seven consecutive games before falling to then-ranked Washington & Lee at the Emory Invitational. The team then headed to Rochester, New York for the UAA Championships where they defeated Rochester and Chicago to reach the Championship Match where they downed the WashU Bears for the UAA title and earn the automatic qualifier spot for the NCAA Championships.

Emory hosted the 2024 Atlanta Regional for the opening round of the NCAA Championships and hosted Covenant in the first round and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the second round to reach the regional final. The Eagles had a rematch of the 2023 regional final against the Trinity (TX) Tigers this season and advanced to the Elite Eight with a 3-1 win over the Tigers. Emory's season ended in Salem, Virginia in the Elite Eight following a 0-3 loss to Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Three Eagles were chosen as American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Americans with senior
Deborah Hong leading the way with her second team selection.

Hong was one of the most consistent Eagles this season being the only athlete to compete in all 110 sets. She leads the team with 576 digs, a career-high 40 against Chicago in the semifinals of the UAA Championships, and is averaging 5.24 digs per set. Hong posted double-digit digs in all but three matches this season and had 11 matches with 20 plus digs. She also paced the team with 49 service aces and finished fourth in the program this season with 128 assists. In the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament, Hong totaled 69 digs, 27 against the Trinity (TX) Tigers (Nov. 23) and was named the Atlanta Regional Most Valuable Player for her efforts.

Junior
Kate LaRocco also had one of her best seasons leading her to a career-first All-UAA selection and her first All-Region selection earlier in the season. She finished second on the team with 242 kills, a career-high 17 kills against Berry, across 85 sets played while leading the program with 2.85 kills per set. LaRocco sat just behind Hong with 44 service aces and tied second on the team with 229 digs averaging 2.69 per set. She also posted 66 kills against conference opponents finishing ninth in the UAA. She helped the Eagles to another trip to the Elite Eight totaling 33 kills in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

In her fourth season with the Eagles, senior
Madison Cail dominated the courts helping Emory to another trip to the NCAA Tournament. She posted a team-leading 245 kills, a season-high 15 against Berry (Sept. 20), while pacing the team with a .385 hitting percentage. She competed in 100 sets over 31 matches and averaged 2.45 kills per set and ranks fourth on the team with 25 service aces. Cail dominated the net totaling 97 blocks including a team-leading 17 solo blocks while averaging .99 blocks per set. Her 28 kills and nine blocks in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament earned her Atlanta Regional All-Tournament honors.

Six Eagles were named to the All-UAA Team while Jones and assistant coaches Leah Saunders, Gary Aromin, Nico Castro,
Trung Huynh and Jona Braden earned UAA Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Additionally, Saunders was named to the AVCA Thirty under 30 list.
