The No. four seeded Eagles earn their 20th win of the season following the match and will advance to the second round of the tournament. Emory was led offensively by senior Kaya Monrose, junior Gabija Staniskis and senior Kate LaRocco who combined for 33 kills in the win.

The Eagles offense dominated the beginning of the first set with kills from Staniskis and LaRocco pushing Emory to a 15-3 start and forcing Springfield into a timeout. The Pride answered strong out of the break going on a 6-5 run leading the Eagles to their 20th point of the set.
