The Emory University men's track and field program claimed the 2025 UAA Outdoor Championship Title on Sunday afternoon after an impressive day of competition.
The title is the seventh overall in men's track and field history and the first since 2015. The Eagles turned in 17 All-UAA finishes on Sunday afternoon including six individual UAA titles. Senior
Jackson Price set another program record on Sunday in the 200m after setting the program record on Saturday.
Price took home the UAA title in the 200m dash with his record breaking time of 20.81 while teammate
Henry Brandstadter took second in the event (21.29) for an All-UAA finish. Earlier in the day, Brandstadter earned the UAA title in the 100m with a time of 10.71. Price and teammate
Sam Ryba also earned All-UAA status in the event with their second and third place finishes.
Graduate student
Spencer Watry took All-UAA status in both the 1500m run (3
rd, 3:55.14) and the 800m run (2
nd, 1:53.03). Fellow graduate student
Dawit Dean finished first in the 400m dash followed by an All-UAA second place finish from teammate
Ryan McGonigle.
In the hurdles, freshman
Ethan Lu took home second in the 110m hurdles while teammate
Sebastian Kou took second in the 400m hurdles. Finishing the running events with another UAA title was the 4x400m relay group of
Joshua Han, McGonigle, Price and Dean with a time of 3:17.31.
Late into the night on Saturday, Brandstadter earned his first UAA title of the meet with a first place, 7.29m mark in the long jump. He later took third in the high jump while teammate
Kevin Zhong took second. Rounding out the All-UAA finishes for the Eagles were throwers
Chris Summey in the javelin (3
rd, 55.32) and
Ari Klasky in the discus (1
st, 44.02m).
