The Emory University track and field program sent throwers to Mount Laurel, Tennessee for the Mountain Laurel Invitational hosted by Sewanee.
Teammates
Ari Klasky (39.61m) and
Riley Schwimmer (33.30m) kicked things off in the hammer throw finishing fifth and 13
th respectively. Klasky later took fourth in the shot put with a distance of 14.07m and second in the discus (45.08m) followed by a 13
th place finish from freshman
Rohan Vasandani (12.44m) in the shot put and 17
th in the discus.
For the women, freshman
Jeanette Hydukovich took home a third place finish in the shot put with a distance of 11.94m while freshman
Janelle Bobb took 11
th with a distance of 9.89m. Hydukovich later competed in the discus and finished first with a mark of 41.06m. Senior
Kylie Hanson later took sixth in the hammer throw with a distance of 41.20m.
The Eagles will compete next weekend at the UAA Outdoor Championships in New York, New York hosted by NYU.
