The Emory University women's swimming & diving team concluded its 2024-25 season Saturday night as the Eagles finished fifth at the NCAA Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Emory tallied three additional podium finishes to go along with eight Second Team All-America honors to end the meet with 337 points. MIT captured its first-ever national championship as a team with meet-leading 497 points. The Engineers overtook New York University (470) on the final day of competition.
Across the four days in Greensboro, the Eagles recorded a total of 14 First Team All-America nods as well as 18 Second Team All-America honors.
Saturday night featured a pair of individual top eighth efforts and a top six showing in the final event of the meet.
In the mile, senior Jada Chatoor capped off her Emory career with her third consecutive All-America First Team performance. After taking sixth and seventh in the event the last two years, Chatoor was eighth in her final race as she registered a time of 16:54.55.
Chatoor was one of three Eagles inside the top 14 in the 1650 Freestyle, with junior Meredith Liu taking 12th at 17:06.83 and classmate Morgan Main coming in 14th place with a time of 17:10.33.
Sophomore Katie Cohen led the Eagles in the breaststroke as she reached the podium for the second straight evening as an individual. After placing sixth in the 100 on Friday, Cohen was eighth in the 200 with a time of 2:16.54.
Emory turned in five Second Team All-America honors across three different events on Saturday with junior Ren Watt finishing 16th in the 3-meter dive, graduate student Penelope Helm (13th, 50.60) and freshman Caitlin Crysel (15th, 50.82) in the 100 Freestyle, and freshmen Maddy Lu (15th, 2:17.89) and Sophia Joos (2:20.18) in the 200 Breaststroke.
The Eagles concluded its meet with a top six finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay as the group of Crysel, Helm, senior Ava Kennedy and freshman Louisa Wendt were sixth with a time of 3:21.86.
Following 2025's results, this year marked Emory's 22nd finish inside the top five at nationals out of the last 23 seasons and the 25th time in program history.
