Emory Men's Tennis swept the Division III men's side of the ITA Cup Tournament on Sunday, with
Ruilin Feng bringing home the singles title and the doubles duo of
Ajay Kartik and
Matthew Johnstone taking home the doubles title.
Ruilin Feng defeated the reigning national champion Advik Mareedu out of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in three sets, with Feng taking set one 6-1, dropping the second 4-6 and battling back to take set three 7-5 and win the singles title. The sophomore is only the fourth in program history to win the ITA Division III championship.
Ajay Kartik and
Matthew Johnstone won in similar fashion against CMS, taking set one 6-3, dropping set two 5-7 and coming back to take set three 10-6. The sophomore/freshman duo is only the third doubles team in program history to win the ITA Division III title.
This marks the end of the Eagles fall season as they will return to the court on February 8, 2026 to take on Young Harris College at home.
