Emory University sophomore
Kaitlyn Nimmer was honored by the United Soccer Coaches Association Thursday afternoon by being selected to the All-America Fourth Team.
Nimmer becomes the 13th All-American in program history following the announcement and is the first since 2021 when Lily Dresner was chosen to the Third Team.
The selection continues the list of season accolades for the standout second-year forward as she was previously tabbed to the Region VI First Team and was an All-UAA First Team honoree.
As a sophomore, Nimmer has headlined an Emory offense that averaged 2.48 goals per game and has advanced to the Final Four for the second time in team history and first since 2012.
This year, Nimmer is one of eight Eagles to start each of the team's 21 games and has flourished as the team's top offensive option. Nimmer is the latest on the short list of Eagles all-time to eclipsed 30 points in a single-season as she enters Friday's Final Four matchup with 31 points on the strength of 11 goals and nine assists. She collected at least one point in 14 of Emory's 21 games with the Eagles going 11-1-2 in those games. She picked up a brace in the win over Covenant for a season-high four points which came during her season-best streak of six games with at least one point. Nimmer had two goals in UAA action, scoring against WashU and Rochester, and currently has one goal and four assists during Emory's NCAA tournament run which featured a career-best three-assist performance against Methodist in the first round.
Nimmer and the Eagles are set to battle William Smith on Friday, December 6th at 6:00 PM PT / 9:00 PM ET in the national semifinals on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada.
