Box Score 2 Emory University saw a conference-best 14 standouts earn berths on the University Athletic Association 25-Year Softball Team as announced by the league. A total of 44 student-athletes were tabbed for the honor in recognition of the conference's Silver Anniversary.
The team consists of each player who was named Most Valuable Player or accumulated at least five points with two points awarded for All-Association first-team recognition and one point for second-team honors in her career.
The Emory representatives on the UAA 25 Year Team includes Kim Bandy (2006-09), Tamara Boggs (2000-03), Allison Bouknight (2002-05), Lauren Dix (2000-03), Elizabeth Hampson (2001-04), Bridget Holloway (2009-12), Nicole Kovski (2001-04), Megan Light (2011-SA), Sarah Morse (2004-07), Mary Nicol (2002-05), Melissa Roberts (2000-03), Emily Sunshine (2003-06), Jessica Thomas (2009-12) and Cassie Walsh (2007-10).
Emory has had five players selected as UAA Most Valuable Player with Roberts being the first honoree in 2001. Other Eagles who have garnered MVP acclaim include Kovski (2002), Boggs (2003), Light (2011) and Holloway (2012).
