The Emory University men's tennis team posted its second win
this week over a top-15 team, registering a win DePauw University
at the Woodruff PE Center. The No. 3-rank Eagles raised their
dual record to 5-4 with a 7-2 win over the No. 11 Tigers who
slipped to 4-7.
Emory took a 3-0 lead into singles play after capturing all three
doubles points. The Eagles' No. 1 sophomore duo of
Chris Goodwin and Dillon Pottish raised the record to 10-6 with a
hard-fought 9-7 decision against Scott Sandager and Will Gates.
Pottish and Goodwin continued their stellar play in singles with
each earning a win at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots,
respectively. Pottish boosted his overall record to 15-3 with
a 6-1, 6-4 triumph against Sandager while Goodwin saw his season
mark go to 12-3 following a decisive 6-1, 6-0 win over Mike
Rardon. Earning other wins were junior Colin Egan and No. 4
and senior David Caplan at No. 6.
