#21 Volleyball Sweeps St. Mary’s and Huntingdon

Game One: The Emory University women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory over Saint Mary's (IN) on Saturday morning at Woodruff Arena, winning by set scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-18.

Emory finished the match with 47 kills while hitting .364 as a team. The Eagles also recorded 43 assists, six service aces, 54 digs and six total blocks.

Ella Moore led Emory with 14 kills on 30 attacks while hitting .433. She also recorded 14 digs and one block. Sophia Luo added nine kills on 17 attacks with a .471 hitting percentage and three blocks.

Gabija Staniskis finished with eight kills and two blocks, while Elle McBride contributed seven kills while hitting .353. Skylar Giuliani added six kills on 10 attacks and recorded four blocks.

Norah McNichols and Carolina Ufret combined for 38 assists, with McNichols recording 23 and Ufret adding 15. McNichols also had five digs, while Ufret contributed three digs and one service ace.

Lauren Nip recorded three service aces and 12 digs, while Sydney Kennedy added two aces, three kills and one block.

Emory hit .394 in the opening set, recording 14 kills with just one attack error to take a 25-13 lead. The Eagles followed with 17 kills and a .467 hitting percentage in the second set, winning 25-15.

Saint Mary's recorded 12 kills in the third set, but Emory finished with 16 kills and hit .273 to close out the match with a 25-18 victory.

The Eagles improved to 2-0 on the season with the win.

Game Two: The Emory University women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory over Huntingdon College on Saturday evening at Woodruff Arena, winning by set scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-18.

Emory finished the match with 42 kills while hitting .271 as a team. The Eagles also recorded 38 assists, nine service aces, 46 digs and five total blocks.

Elle McBride led Emory with eight kills on 25 attacks while hitting .240. Gabija Staniskis, Ella Moore and Skylar Giuliani each added seven kills. Giuliani hit .500 and recorded two blocks, while Staniskis added two blocks.

Sophia Luo recorded five kills on 12 attacks with a .417 hitting percentage. Maeve Stevenson contributed three kills without an attack error and added two blocks.

Norah McNichols and Carolina Ufret combined for 33 assists, with McNichols recording 16 and Ufret adding 17. Ufret also recorded three service aces and one block.

Jillian Massenat finished with 15 digs, while Lauren Nip added six digs. Ella Moore contributed three digs and one service ace.

Emory opened the match with 14 kills in the first set and pulled away for a 25-15 victory. The Eagles followed with 15 kills in the second set, winning 25-19, before closing the match with a 25-18 third-set victory.

Emory improves to 3-0 on the season.
