In the semifinals, Pogue defeated Sara Nenkov in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 to reach the title match.
As play moved to doubles, Emory continued to roll through the brackets as the Eagles went 4-0 against Sewanee counterparts in the quarterfinals to set up an all-Emory final four. Pogue/Jessy Chen won 8-1 while the pairings of Yanire Marte/Devin Gilroy and Nenkov/Hernandez picked up 8-3 decisions. After battling on the singles courts, Karp and Gusavac paired for an 8-5 verdict over Sewanee's Dario/Suter to claim the final spot in the semifinals.
During the night's semifinals, Marte/Gilroy were the first Emory teammates to punch their ticket to the championship match with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Chen/Pogue. The day's final match featuring Karp/Gusavac against Nenkov/Hernandez went deep into the night with Karp/Gusavac securing the three-set 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 victory.
