The Emory volleyball team suffered a 3-0 defeat to #8 Colby inside the Woodruff PE Center Arena on the second day of the East West classic. With the loss, Emory is now 4-1 on the season.
The first set was a close one with the set ending 25-22. Emory hit .209 in the set with a service ace and 13 kills.
The Eagles picked things up in the second set, hitting .278 to Colby's .182, along with 15 kills but dropped the set 25-22.
Set three ended in a 25-18 loss giving the 3-0 sweep to Colby.
Maeve Stevenson stood out with 10 kills a .389 hitting percentage and a service ace. Freshman
Kennedi White made her debut picking up six kills and hit .313 on the day.
Emory will head north, for the Mount Berry Invitational starting on Friday against Randolph-Macon at 2:00PM. Â
